The progression gives this piece a story most single-butterfly designs do not have. Space the three evenly and the metamorphosis reads at a glance; cluster them and it becomes a subtler puzzle. Semi-Permanent Ink, No Needles Each butterfly is semi-permanent ink: 24 hours to develop, up to 10 days of wear, then a clean fade. No needles at any point.
